Year-End Review
Picked and chose the questions that I thought were actually interesting to answer… and put in some questions I thought are more appropriate for my own uhh experiences.
Some of these questions are from last year’s Year-End Survey.
2007… (the factual stuff)
Where did you ring in 2007?
I was asleep by 11pm before New Years. hahahahaha Had a dinner date with Henry at Zach’s, then drove up to the hills to check out the view. New years day was a day around Frisco and where we took this pic:

Omg, only foreign vacation was to go to Canadia ;( Otherwise, LA/Riverside, Las Vegas trips.
Describe your birthday:
buhbuhbuhbuhbuhbbuhbaaayyygguuusss!
Day 1: Arriving late cuz of crazy storms, McDonald’s with the boys, grabbed a drink, got faded running thru the rain and playing at the Gameworks arcade, passing out for a few hours, Nancy’s arrival, playing with the So siblings until 6AM!
Day 2: (2 hours later) Man’s arrival (best bed experience ever.), walking around with Man, J, and Brent, passing out at MGM at 3PM, bathroom stall buddies <3, taking 2 hours to get to Wynn (”We’re outside!”), Wynn buffet, walking from Wynn to Excalibur + SCUTTLING!, Tryst, $7 steak!

I worked! Then I went home and played mahjoong for a few hours to win $1.40. We were lazy and had easy-bake lasagna (and coke+rum!?)
What sporting events did you go to?
Probably none. Does Disney On Ice count?? (We had x10 more fun than the kids around us. w00t!)

Always. There’s ALWAYS something to fall in love with.

No one in particular.

Eugeniaman and Norvelle are quite the winners this year!
Who was your enemy?
The regulars?
Who do you miss?
Pohpoh.
2007… (the stuff that requires more thinking)
Are you happier than this time last year?
Yes!
What song will remind you of 2007?
Nothing in particular. I dunno, the Umbrella song went on for a while? (Elle, elle, elle, elle, NOR!)
What’s the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2007?
- Reach close to 120lbs.
- Attended my friends’ weddings!? (Only because it’s still so hard to believe!)
- Drink only “girly” drinks.
What is one thing you regretted this year?
Acting stupid and being rude.
What’s something you learned about yourself?
Not everything’s black and white. I’m too self-involved. I’m high maintenance in a non-material way.
What was your best month?
Tie between May (Henry’s Bday @ Disneyland) and December (it’s been a pretty awesome month)!
Best decision made all year?
Tie between Embark, and bringing my portfolio to CCA. (Totally not independent decisions. Thanks!)
What will you remember 2007 by?
Successfully getting along with my family pretty well (a lot better than before, right?), a year of diligently working, and so many great times with Man, Greg, and Norvelle to make up for the four years I was away in LA.
Will any date from 2007 stay etched in your memory forever?
Nothing in particular. Too many great times!
What was your biggest achievement of 2007?
Feeling productive. Knowing that I’ve contributed my share to the community. Slowly getting less snappy and more patient with my family. Keeping a good and healthy relationship with my boyfriend despite the distance.
What was your biggest failure?
Biggest personal failure is having some things revert back. It’s so hard to break old habits. First step is awareness, right? A long way to go to unlearn 20ish years of my life. Not being patient enough. Being way too critical.
Did your behavior change over the year?
Yes. For the better. More patient with my parents, training to be less snappy.
What do you wish you would have done more of?
Eat healthier -___-;
What do you wish you would have done less of?
Eat unhealthily.
What was your greatest discovery?
The rekindling of Mario Kart Double Dash competitions, and discovering how to beat these fools’ times!! Also that I’m apparently the cheesy-joke queen ;(
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I held the ultimate MKDD record -_-;
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
It’s important to stay with your roots. Remember what your values are. If your habits are against your values, you have to play an active role in undoing the things that you think are wrong and unjust. The only person who can make things better in your own life is yourself, and the only way things can get better is if you’re the one willingly making that change to better yourself. It’s so easy to forget. It’s so easy to REVERT. No one said it would be an easy road; the trick is to remember what it is you want to do with your own life, where you want to take yourself, and HOW you’ll go about doing so. Just gotta remind yourself every so often.
What will you always remember about 2007?
I’ve never had so much fun living at home. :)
The New Year…
What are you doing to ring in 2008?
Voted to have a session at Peacock’s place without him knowing that we nominated his place. (Kinda like the times we used to go to his mom’s place to use their pool, hahah.)
Any resolutions?
- Buy a 1 tb harddrive (Henry’s convinced that this isn’t a resolution and that I don’t really have to sacrifice anything for this. I beg to differ! I’m gonna diligently save enough money for this purchase so that I can keep ALL my pics in one centralized place!)
- Possibly renetwork the silly setup in our house so that not all the router and stuff comes to my room?
- Start writing stuff down again. Totally forgetting too much stuff :(
- Get back to 110lbs? I miss flat stomach and lower back dimples, plz.
What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A nice place where all my pics can be organized, aka 1tb harddrive, here I come!
What do you want to do in ‘08 that you couldn’t in ‘07?
Get more involved in art again. W00t for starting a figure drawing class!
Anything you want to change about yourself for 2008?
The self-growth goals I’ve had for myself for a while. Slowly but surely…
Own Notes
Since it always happens, favorite passing-out/drinking experience:
Either that time when Greg, Norvelle, Quince, and I went out to SJ for Helene’s Bday and something or other happened and I 100% fell asleep in the car and the next thing I knew I was eating that DELICIOUS burger (with hash browns >:O) at Denny’s. OR Las Vegas, passing out at 3PM at MGM, while watching Brent play blackjack.
Favorite GSA Network Moment:
So many! Retreat @ silly theoretical questions proposed while on the way to and at D&B’s. Marching in the Pride Parade. All the “sh-sh-sh-sh-ssshhhhheeeeeewwwtttts,” puns, DTDGs, songs of the days. I miss going to lunch in the Mission! >:O
Favorite Embark Moment:
Craig’s goodbye at Elephant & Castle, and all the stupid nerf gun wars that’s still going on -__-
Favorite Henry Moment:
After a year of going out, the day he finally asked me out! Tie between that day and the rooftop picnic!
