I’ve been in such a sour mood lately. I’m ECSTATIC about this being my first positive, first hopeful post in a long time! I was so excited that I had to go around and spread the news to people dispersed around the office! (I really shoulda brought my rainbow flag with me today!) The days I’ve DREAMED of seeing headlines over all news sites saying “Same-Sex Marriage Legalized in California“, “Ban on Same-Sex Marriage Overturned“, etc. etc.!
SFGate article: State Supreme Court says same-sex couples have right to marry
SUCH a great win! But the opponents have been prepping to make it a state amendment to ban same-sex marriage this November. There’s STILL so much work to do and we gotta fight back! Talk to me if you want to help!
I fully believe that THIS will slowly but surely turn the tide. California ALWAYS sets the trends. I BELIEVE! And when it all happens, when we reach a MORE equal society, I will KNOW that I contributed to make this world a more inclusive, a more accepting and appreciative world. I’m sooooo proud of all the hard work my peers and I have accomplished to make TODAY possible!
Good job, Queer Alliance! Good job, SCME! Good job, GSA Network! Good job, all my friends that have ALWAYS supported me in my activism! YOU should feel PROUD!
