What is Pho?

Pho (pronounced fuh) is a traditional Vietnamese noodle dish with thinly sliced meat. It is often composed of rice noodles, and is served with a side of basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, and lime.

The broth is the foundation of the pho dish and is the most important component of pho's flavor. Generic broth results in generic pho; Amazing broth results in amazing pho.

What is Spring Break?

Spring break is a week-long academic recess that occurs in early Spring. Most North American universities and public schools have spring break in March or April.

Stereotypically, college students often celebrate spring break by debaucherously defiling Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, and Tijuana. Others return to their hometowns to visit family, friends, and to eat at their favorite home restaurants.

Upon graduating, these students enter the ever exciting working world where they can only dream of the good 'ol days of having annual spring breaks.

So, What's the Deal with Spring Break + Pho?

In one hand, you have something spectacular. In the other, you have something just as spectacular. Put the two together, and you end up with something beyond all understanding of awesomeness.

Quite simply: We miss spring break so we're pretending to celebrate it every year by getting together to get pho with all our friends, just like we used to do when we returned home from college during the breaks.
